Mentoring the Young: Dr. Muhammed Majeed with students from the College of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Government Medical College, Thiruvananthapuram
It was an enriching experience for the students from the College of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Trivandrum who have successfully completed their one-month internship program at various facilities of Sami-Sabinsa Group. Internship programmes are an excellent opportunity for students to see how the theoretical aspects learned in classrooms are applied in the practical world.
On the final day of their internship, Dr. Muhammed Majeed, Chairman and Founder of Sami-Sabinsa Group hosted a lunch for these students at his office in Peenya (Bangalore). At the luncheon, Dr. Majeed interacted with the young minds on diverse topics and gave them insightful career advice. Such an opportunity to interact with industry leaders will immensely inspire and drive students to accomplish great breakthroughs in their profession.
The interns received their certificates from Dr. Majeed and were commended for their efforts.

The prestigious lifetime achievement award was
presented to Dr. Muhammed Majeed, Founder and Chairman, Sami-Sabinsa Group in recognition of his exemplary services in
the nutraceuticals and cosmeceuticals industry. The award was presented by ASSOCHAM (The Associated Chambers of
Commerce and Industry of India) on the occasion of Ayush Mela which is one of India’s largest virtual exhibition and
conference related to Ayurveda, Yoga & Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homeopathy which was held from October 30 –
November 1, 2020. Sami-Sabinsa Group Limited, a pioneer and global leader in health sciences, is a leading producer of
nutraceuticals, cosmeceuticals, standardized herbal extracts, fine chemicals, specialty chemicals, probiotics and
enzymes.
There were 34 categories of awards which saw nominations from different fields of AYUSH. ASSOCHAM
received more than 150 nominations for awards in different categories out of which 75 nominations were short listed
across different categories. The nominations were selected by a jury of eminent persons.
