Dr. Muhammed Majeed, Founder and Chairman, Sami-Sabinsa Group Honored with Lifetime Achievement Award from ASSOCHAM
The prestigious lifetime achievement award was presented to Dr. Muhammed Majeed, Founder and Chairman, Sami-Sabinsa Group in recognition of his exemplary services in the nutraceuticals and cosmeceuticals industry. The award was presented by ASSOCHAM (The Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India) on the occasion of Ayush Mela which is one of India’s largest virtual exhibition and conference related to Ayurveda, Yoga & Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha and Homeopathy which was held from October 30 – November 1, 2020. Sami-Sabinsa Group Limited, a pioneer and global leader in health sciences, is a leading producer of nutraceuticals, cosmeceuticals, standardized herbal extracts, fine chemicals, specialty chemicals, probiotics and enzymes.
There were 34 categories of awards which saw nominations from different fields of AYUSH. ASSOCHAM received more than 150 nominations for awards in different categories out of which 75 nominations were short listed across different categories. The nominations were selected by a jury of eminent persons.

Sami-Sabinsa Group was honored with three awards by The Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India (ASSOCHAM) at the 3rd edition of their Beauty, Wellness and Personal Care Awards held in New Delhi today.
ASSOCHAM acknowledged Sami-Sabinsa Group’s Founder & Chairman, Dr. Muhammed Majeed, for his immense contribution towards shaping the Indian Cosmeceutical industry by presenting him with the ‘Legend of Natural Cosmeceuticals’ award. In addition, the Group received accolades for ‘Best Personal Care Product of the Year 2020’ for its premium beauty product - Johara® Turmeric Bath Soap and ‘Best Cosmetic Ingredient Manufacturer of the Year’ for Sami Labs Limited.

Considering the widespread damages caused by the rains in many parts of the state, A contribution of Rs.3,00,00,000 (Rupees three crores) was made by Dr. Muhammed Majeed, Chairman and Managing Director of Sami-Sabinsa Group of companies to the Chief Minister’s Distress Relief Fund to help the people affected by the floods in the state of Kerala.

Dr. Majeed donates Rs 12 lacs to St. Gregorios Dayabhavan, a non-profit organization from Kunigal, towards food and medical expenses of the HIV/AIDS infected and HIV-TB co-infected children.
